Wow Rocky I saw so much dried up landscape in Utah of a similar texture. I am glad that none of it looked back at me though. Awesome creation. How on earth ( or dried up earth) did you do it ?

Here ya go give it a try.
Drag in texture and set it to overlay. Get a fuzzy earser and erarse everything that you dont want the texture on. Make sure the texture layer and the original layer look good together. use the healing tool, on the texture layer where you want to correct any of the texture to better suit the original image. now duplicate the layer to darken it up and make it look a little mpre realistic. then merge all layers and desaturate the whole thing, and thats pretty much it.

Thankyou for the info Rocky. I think I will have to go on some kind of course in PS to even try to understand half of what you wrote. I have to admit it, I have absoloutly not even the basic skills in layers and, overlays , masks and all that stuff. Some day I will find a simple book to guide me I hope.

What a freaky photo! Very cool! I am going to save this too like Redsky for later reference, but like zenman I may need a book to understand half of it...hehehe.

Err, yeah, was that English? She looks like she needs tons of moisturizer. Very freaky results. Reminds me of some creature from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"... Cool.
